Captured CO\u2082 will be transported through underground pipelines and stored beneath <strong>Liverpool Bay<\/strong>. The cluster also integrates <strong>hydrogen production and storage<\/strong>, positioning it as one of Europe\u2019s most advanced clean-energy ecosystems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Technology and Financing<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The project\u2019s <strong>Front End Engineering Design (FEED)<\/strong> is led by <strong>Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI)<\/strong> and <strong>Worley<\/strong>, using the <strong>Advanced KM CDR Process<\/strong>\u2014an amine-based carbon capture system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Financing operates under a <strong>Contract for Difference (CFD)<\/strong> with the UK government.
